Beautiful bored people of Munich, between street festivals, beer festivals, sports festivals and WINE festivals, this weekend in Munich is set to be one for the books…

Seriously, there is so much going on we could barely get through writing this post.

Anyways, if you’re looking for some fun activities to fill your weekend, here is a (pretty long) list of epic things to do in Munich this weekend:

AngertorstraรŸenfest

This weekend marks the start of Munich’s pride festivities, with the annualย AngertorstraรŸenfest making a comeback all alongย AngertorstraรŸe on Saturday. Food, drinks, a beer garden, live music, info stands and more will be around to keep you entertained all day, so be sure to come check it out!ย Click here for more info.

Sommerfest in der Au

Summer street festivals are a Munich favourite, and this weekend we’ll be taking the party to the streets in der Au! On Saturday,ย SchlotthauerstraรŸe, ColumbusstraรŸe and the square in front of La Sophia will become one big celebration with plenty of live music, street food, market stalls, sports and more. There’s even a bouncy castle and face painting for the kids. Best of all, admission is free! Click here for more info.

FREE Munich Opera Festival

Time to get your culture on for free! That’s right, Munich’s free Opera Festival will be back this Saturday at Max-Joseph Platz, where they’ll be broadcasting Salome live. Bring a cozy blanket, something to sit on, and a picnic – it’s time to class things up!

Magdalenfest

It’s not a Munich summer without some Volksfest fun, and starting this weekend, one of the city’s best kept festival secrets is back in town, at Hirschgarten! The Magdalenfest is a tiny volksfest set in the heart of Hirschgarten, with rides, market stalls, and of course, BEER waiting for you amongst the sea of deer. If you’re looking for a fun and free kid-friendly activity to enjoy this weekend, look no further.

Munich Franconian Wine Festival

If you’re more of a wine drinker, then great news – the Alter Hof is becoming a wine paradise for the next few weeks, with the Franconian wine festival back in town again with plenty of tents serving up crisp Franconian wines with regional foods and live music to enjoy. Click here for more info.

Hofflohmรคrkte in Solln & Obersendling, and Pullach

Hoping to nab some new treasures for a bargain? The summer Hofflohmรคrkte are back, with different communities hosting pop-up yard sales rain or shine. This weekend, there will be ones in Solln & Obersendling, and Pullach.ย Click here for more info.

Munich Sports Festival

Sports lovers, take note: this Sunday, Kรถnigsplatz will be transformed into a giant FREE sports arena, complete with over 90 sports that you can try, and naturally, plenty of football to play. Feeling like a bit of thrill? M-Net will be there with something they’re calling the King Swing, a free experience which promises excellent views over Kรถnigsplatz. Click here for more info.

Film and Comic Book Market

Geeks, time to empty those wallets! Munich’s Film and Comic Book market is back this Sunday, with tons of comic books, action figures, movies, trading cards, autographs, and more to hoard for your collection. Click here for more info.

Vintage Rennradmarkt

Hoping to score some fresh wheels for the summer? Then head over to the Container Collective in Werksviertel Mitte for their vintage bike market, with plenty of bikes for you to peruse and test. Tollwood Sommerfestival
