Hello beautiful bored people of Munich! With this week’s heatwave hitting the city, we are experience a mixture of both summer celebrations and desperately seeking activities to keep cool
Luckily, there are many fun options headed our way this weekend that are perfect plans for both of those moods..and naturally some great free ones as well!

Whether you want to enjoy an open air, experience a couple cultural moments or simply enjoy some summer wine, this list of weekend activities in Munich should provide some excellent inspiration!
Kunsthalle Afterwork
Art, aperitifs and disco? What more could you want after work on a Wednesday! Even better, this monthly event takes place in the city centre at Kunsthalle.
Starting at 6pm, you can choose to join in a guided museum tour or explore yourself. Then afterwards head down to the museums lounge turned party area for some cool drinks, cooler music and the opportunity to take part in a raffle giveaway.

Spazioarte x Guermet Wine and Art

On Thursday the Glockenbach gallery Spazioarte will host an art and wine evening led by our local turkish wine and meze favorite; GΓΌrmet. This three course meal and wine tasting-including a selection of wines from multiple Turkish wine regions -will take you on a summery, flavour filled journey.
In addition to this culinary adventure, you will have the opportunity to learn more about artist and architect Handan Yalki Toyhan’s digital projects and designs.

Popup Sommer Cinema Wine Tasting and Film
If you are searching for some casual and cultural Saturday night plans, then this combination wine tasting and open air cinema evening would be dynamite decision for you!
This summer, the Pop-up Open Air Cinema (Sommer Kino) sits right at the heart of the museum district at the HFF Munich with a lovely list of ongoing events next to their films. This weekend being a sommelier guided exploration of Lake Neusiedl.
Starting at 6pm, you can join in and try the 6 different wines while enjoying a layed back atmosphere into the dusk when the open air cinema begins its evening German cult classic film showing ( unfortunately not in English, but hey, after 6 types of wine we think it could still be fun!).

BBQ and Bass lovers rejoice! This Sunday open air at Cafe Kranich has all your favourites in one central Munich spot.
Teamed up with some local music favourites from Crux, this open air turned sundowner is sure to be a great switch up for your typical summer barbecue plans. Enjoy a day full of good food, day drinking and dancing without the hassle of cooking or cleaning up after (our idea of a great ending to the weekend).
