The Long Night of Munich Museums, AKA Der Lange Nacht der Münchner Museen is an annual tradition on every culture hawk’s calendar… and it’s back Saturday October 14, 2023!

Die Lange Nacht Der Münchner Museen: A Quick Intro

No idea what this event is? Here’s the gist: 90 of Munich’s main museums will be opening their doors this year for a fun nocturnal party from 6pm-1am. With one ticket, you get access to all these museums and public transport (including special shuttle buses for the museum lines!) around the city, so you basically get a pass to visit as many museums as you want on this one night.

This is a really special night because you can get access to many of Munich’s top museums for one set price, all in the late hours of the evening which will help fulfil any lingering daydreams about your own ‘Night at the Museum’.

Which Museums Are Included This Year?

With 90 museums included in the program, the choice is pretty overwhelming.

Of course, you are welcome to visit any mix of museums you like, but to help indecisive attendees, the city has created 5 shuttle bus routes (B 90, 91, 92, 93 and 94) that run every ten minutes from 6pm-1am which link the venues together. There is also the Linie Central (90) that connects the city center’s main museum.

Routes all intersect at Odeonsplatz and you can treat these shuttles as a hop on/hop off ride included with your ticket!
