Art Installations
No Tollwood Festival is complete without a variety of art installations and sculptures. This year’s theme is “Fire and Ice”. And of course, you’ll find Toolwood’s own talking and singing Christmas tree there too!
Amidst the winter festival’s entrance, a proud tree springs to life each afternoon, engaging the audience with stories and a live performance of Christmas songs from diverse cultures.
This unique tree shares daily Christmas tales in various languagesβUkrainian, Arabic, English, Spanishβilluminating the multicultural spirit of Munich and the global celebration of Christmas.
Winter Tollwood: Children / Family Programs
The Tollwood kids’ program, aligned with the festival’s “Art” theme, offers diverse (free) activities daily. Kids get hands-on with crafts , making instruments, theater masks, and art in different styles (offered Monday-Saturday).
It’s a space for them to explore their artistic flair. With rallies every Sunday and LILALU trial days on Saturdays (Nov. 25-Dec. 16), it’s an eventful time. You can then wrap up the day with a bedtime storyβexciting, funny, or peaceful (every day until Dec. 12).
