Happy Thursday, beautiful bored people of Munich! Despite some rain in the forecasts, there are TONS of great events happening in Munich this weekend, including dirt cheap beer festivals, international sports championships and colourful street parties.
Here are the events you can’t miss in Munich this weekend:
Dachau Volksfest
Dachau’s Volksfest, known best for having the lowest volksfest beer prices in Germany is BACK! This year, pay only €6.10 to score a Maß. Of course, partake in the usual fairground rides, lively music and drunked belting of “Angels” too 😉
When: Daily until August 20th, 10am – midnight

Bike & Style at Munich Airport
A little out of the way, but there is an awesome biking event at Munich airport and on weekends, they invite international biking superstars to perform cool stunts and tricks! Learn more on the official website.
Where: Munich Airport (MAC-Forum)
When: Saturday and Sunday, August 18-19 at 5pm (for the performances)
Bouldering World Cup
Two days of intense bouldering action from the world’s top boulderer….ers…. Come watch 258 athletes from 38 countries climb things.
Where: Olympic Stadium
When: Friday, August 17, 2018 – Saturday, August 18, 2018

Hans-Sachs-Straßenfest 2018
The largest LGBTQ event in Munich (next to Pride) is coming up this weekend, a street festival in Glockenbachviertel that calls itself the biggest birthday party in the city! Come dance in the streets and enjoy a wide range of food & party stalls.
When: Saturday, August 18, 2018 from 1pm onwards
Where: Hans-Sachs-Straße, between Westermühlstraße and Müllerstraße
Night Flea Market at Olympiasee
A free event with 200+ flea market exhibitors, a huge street food market, various bars and live music! More info here on the official site.
When: Saturday, August 18, 2018 from 5pm to midnight
Where: Olympiasee at Olympiapark
Kleidertausch AKA Dress Exchange
Refresh your wardrobe in an eco-friendly way at this clothing swap intended for summer clothes! Women’s, men’s and children’s clothing are all welcome. The idea is you bring at least one garment (up to one full bag) to exchange/swap with others.
When: Saturday, August 18, 2018 from 2pm – 6pm

Cost: By donation (2 euros suggested)
Colour Obstacle Rush
A 5km obstacle course filled with colours and fun! While it’s too late to participate, anyone is free to come watch the shenanigans. See more on the official website.
